Welcome to Cowboy Cotons
Home of three World Winning Champions
Multi Champion Cowboy’s Rio Bravo, won the World Show – Hening, Denmark 2010, competing head to head against one hundred and fourty dogs.
In Paris, France his daughter Cowboy Cotons Star of The West, won the World Show in 2011. This was her first time in the show ring. I am very proud of our cotons as they hold champion titles in Conformation, Agility, Obedience, and Rally Obedience as well as championships titles in the show ring.
Cowboys Cotons will spare no expense when it comes to the health of our cotons. The health and temperament of the Coton de Tulear is one of the most important issues in our breeding program. As a Breeder of Merit, all dogs before entering Cowboy Cotons’ breeding program are tested for the following health issues and the test results registered with the health organizations that they pertain to.
These organizations and supported testing are as follows:
The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals Inc. (OFA)
Supported Health Testing (done by a certified veterinarian).
The Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF)
Cerf Testing (done by Veterinarian certified in Opthamology)
If requested copies of these test results can be provided.
Brenda Magnon served two terms as a board member of the United States of America Coton de Tulear Club and a Breeder of Merit. Cotons are a passion at Cowboy Cotons. If you decide to own one you will quickly find out that one coton is just not enough!
Brenda went searching for the ultimate companion dog. After much research, she felt fortunate to have discovered a rare breed of dog known as the Coton de Tulear. Immediately, she was fascinated by this breed of dog that met all of her requirements for an addition to our home. Beautiful, intelligent, healthy, long lived, and openly affectionate – all in a package that was just the right size for a companion. Not so small as to be fragile, nor so large that it wouldn’t be a good lap dog, the Coton is “Just Right”. She read that they were excellent traveling companions, never meeting a stranger, happily adapting to new surroundings. That was all it took, Brenda was convinced.
Brenda contacted several reputable breeders and was able to acquire her little fur balls within a reasonable amount of time. This was several years ago. It is hard to describe the joy that has been brought to her life as a direct result of adding these wonderful dogs to her home.
